On March 28, 2009 a faulty freezer wire in Duff Roblin started a large fire that has devastated the West side of the building.  Thankfully, no one was injured.

The Psychology side of the building was not as affected, although the 4th and 5th floors suffered severe smoke damage.  Luckily, the Perception and Action lab on the 2nd floor of the building was largely unaffected.  However, smoke went throughout the building and because of asbestos/chemical fears we are not allowed back in for the foreseeable future.
We will be moving to temporary lab space while Duff Roblin is cleaned up and made safe.  We hope the our equipment will be returned to us soon so that we can continue our research.  But, we have managed to extract enough work and equipment to keep us busy over the summer while we await repairs.  Thankfully, our fMRI research will not be greatly affected, as that is conducted at the NRC-IBD downtown.
